Walter Van Beirendonck x JBC: limited sweaters with a bold, graphic look
Belgian fashion designer Walter Van Beirendonck and retailer JBC are launching a limited series of sweaters, created from surplus yarn from previous productions and defined by a striking, graphic aesthetic. BeContent handled the full production and art direction for the photoshoot and campaign video.
A true collector’s item
Twelve years after their previous collaboration, Van Beirendonck and JBC are teaming up again for what they call a “one-off, exclusive partnership.” The Future Friendly capsule collection is limited to 500 sweaters. Each piece is unique and made entirely from surplus yarn—assembled from textile leftovers from earlier productions. This gives premium materials a second life without producing new raw resources.
The sweaters are also produced locally in Belgium, giving the project a distinctly Belgian character. The designs stand out for their colourful, graphic visual language.
“With Future Friendly, I wanted to create a collector’s item that radiates hope. The central image of the rising sun symbolizes a fresh start and a future full of possibilities. Each piece is unique and embodies the optimistic vision we want to share together with JBC,” says Walter Van Beirendonck.
